Adamawa REC Playing Script Of INEC Chairman - Atiku’s Aide

The Special Assistant on Public Communication to Waziri Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Phrank Shaibu,  has alleged that  the electoral misconduct perpetrated by the Adamawa Resident Electoral Commission, Hudu Yunusa-Ari, is nothing different from what the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu, did during the Presidential polls. Yunusa-Ari had on Sunday, announced Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani, the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa, as the winner of the election even while the results were still being collated. The Adamawa REC has since been suspended by  the headquarters of the commission while the announcement of the results has been postponed indefinitely. Responding in a statement, however, Shaibu said the national leadership of INEC could not pretend to be unaware of the many allegations hanging on the neck of the Adamawa REC. KADSVA Rolls Out Kaduna State Beach Volleyball Sallah Slam

In its quest at developing the game as well as keeping the players busy, the Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA) is rolling out Kaduna State Beach Volleyball Sallah Slam. A statement signed by the member representing media on the board, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson  said that this was made known by KADSVA Secretary, Florence Yori in a memo to the board members of the association on Tuesday April 11, 2023. According to the memo, the three day event would be held at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello Stadium. " This is to inform and invite you to Kaduna State Beach Volleyball Sallah Slam slated for 21st-23rd April 2023 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna for both Senior and Junior," the memo informed. KADSVA, which is led by Engineer Musa Nimrod, has been at the forefront of developing talents for both indoor and beach volleyball in Nigeria. Engineer Nimrod is also the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF).

Yesterday 5th Wednesday, 2023 witnessed the gathering of various interest groups in Enugu State,  who converged to launch and publicly unveil a mandate protection movement for Barr Peter Mbah, the Governor-Elect of Enugu State, who contested and won the 2023 guber poll under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Though the move was Initiated by leading CSOs, the project attracted the interest of several pressure groups, professional associations, religious entities, youth and women pro-democracy  networks among others. Presidential Election: Frank Urges Tribunal To Transmit Proceedings Live

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, on Thursday, called on the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) to  transmit its proceedings live. Frank in a statement in Abuja, said this has become necessary to ensure transparency and openness in the conduct of the tribunal.  He said the move would make Nigerians feel a sense of belonging by keeping them abreast of the progress or otherwise of hearings of the petitions as critical stakeholders. Taraba: Group condemns NNPP protest, directs losers to go to court

A pro democracy group, Taraba First Group (TFG), has condemned a protest purportedly staged by NNPP members on Monday at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja.  The protesters were,  among others things, demanding for review of the Taraba polls and calling for its cancelations. Recall that NNPP came second in the governorship polls won by PDP's Lt Col Agbu Kefas (rtd).
